In the time of apocalyptic anxiety, many Internet memes have gone viral across the globe. Inspired by cyberculture, this work merges emotions in everyday life with famous movie scenes of all time to deconstruct the common imagination of “apocalypse” in the entertainment industry. The video also incorporates the artist’s footage during protests, turning memes into social commentary. In the age of the Internet, Meme does more than hijacking and decontextualizing information, it has become a form of silent revolt against the absurd.

全球网民通过消费网络文化，从而消解末日情绪，于是大量讽刺式表情包，即模因(Meme)，得以病毒式传播。本系列影像以社交网络为载体，将人们的日常情绪与经典电影场景结合起来，近乎娱乐化地解构了流行文化中对于“末日”的普遍想象；同时也加入了艺术家今年在游行中拍摄的素材，将模因转化为社会观察。在互联网的时代，表情包不仅是对于语言符号的解构与重组，也是对于荒谬的世界的无声反抗。
